Expert Tips for Making This Recipe
- Ice: Feel free to jazz up your drinks with flavored ice cubes. I love freezing lemonade into ice cubes so my drinks aren’t watered down.
- Garnish: In addition to mint sprigs, garnish with a lemon wedge.
- Fresh Ingredients: I love using fresh blueberries and mint. You can grow your own mint in a pot to always have fresh mint!
- Hydrate: Alcohol can make you dehydrated. Drink water in between every alcoholic beverage, even if you drink often. When you finish a drink, have a glass of water before having another.
- Slush: Change this cocktail into a slush by adding the ingredients to a blender with some extra ice.
- Other Options: Try Midnight Moon blueberry moonshine. Buy smooth moonshine 750ml jars.
- Flavors: Try experimenting with new spirits or products to make flavors like blueberry pie or something that tastes like sweet, fresh picked berries.

I’m confused by the name of the recipe and ingredients. So it doesn’t include any huckleberries but is called Huckleberry Hooch? Why not Blueberry Hooch? Was looking for a recipe to use with my huckleberries so might try this but I’m not sure that it will be as sweet as blueberry. Also, ingredients say “6 fresh blueberries” but the picture of the drink looks like there are much more than 6 berries used.
Thank you for your feedback let me know how it works for you!
What makes it “huckleberry”? There are no huckleberries listed in the recipe.
