STEP 1: In a Large Pot

First, bring a large pot of water to a boil; Rinse the green beans in colander, pat fry. Then toss the green beans.  After 2 minutes remove green beans and immediately place them in a large bowl of ice water. 

STEP 2: Drain

Next, drain the beans well and place in a large bowl. Add onion and pour dressing over beans, toss to combine.

STEP 3: Marinate the Italian Style

Finally, stir well, cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
